About The Position

JEA is seeking students for our paid 2027 Summer Internship Program. Students selected to participate in our Internship Program will have an opportunity to gain real world, on-the-job experience, and network with business professionals to develop valuable leadership, professional etiquette and presentation skills. The Engineering Intern – Other Disciplines provides support to various technical teams across JEA in engineering fields outside of the more traditional Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental. This internship offers hands‑on learning opportunities within a public‑utility environment, allowing students to apply academic knowledge to real‑world projects in areas such as Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related disciplines. This role may be placed in any JEA business unit needing engineering support for operations, planning, data analysis, process improvement, project coordination, or technical problem‑solving.

Requirements

Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior in one of the following Bachelor of Engineering Degree Programs: - Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related disciplines.
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must attach a copy of your transcript in order to verify your GPA.
Available to work a 32-hour work week for 13 weeks between May and August

Responsibilities

Provides support to various technical teams across JEA in engineering fields outside of the more traditional Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental.
