About The Position

This is a Summer Intern position focused on Systems Engineering for USCG programs at RTX, specifically within Collins Aerospace. The intern will gain experience in requirements capture, decomposition, and verification, as well as participate in testing and collaborate within an Agile development team. The role offers a comprehensive learning experience in platform systems engineering, from initial requirements to supporting fielded products, and effective use of systems engineering tools.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in a STEM Major
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suite
Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment
Basic experience or knowledge of engineering/technology requirements capture and configuration management tools
Basic experience or an educational background covering requirements capture & definition, integration, verification & validation testing
A collaborative attitude, accountability for actions taken, execution to plan, and a self-motivation that produces superior results

Responsibilities

Learn requirements capture and peer review for cockpit avionics for the USCG programs
Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace
Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements
Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment
Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers
