2027 Summer Intern - Internal Sales Desk
About The Position
The Hartford is hiring a 2027 summer intern for its Internal Sales Desk. The intern will support sales and investment-related activities through CRM projects, customer and territory analysis, sales campaigns, order execution, and various requests. The role also provides opportunities to assist inside sales, sales support, and the investment consulting group while developing industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and assignments. The annualized base pay range is $20.00–$25.00. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as performance, proficiency, and demonstration of role competencies. Additional compensation may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong ability to multitask and handle several projects simultaneously.
- Comfort with phone conversations and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Interest in capital markets or financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Use the CRM extensively for various projects.
- Build focus customer lists and run competitive analysis reports using Morningstar and the CRM.
- Conduct territory analysis and gather business intelligence.
- Create and execute sales campaigns aligned with firm initiatives.
- Execute customer orders and handle other requests.
- Assist with inside sales, sales support, and the investment consulting group.
- Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.
