2027 Summer Intern Antibody Discovery & Protein Sciences
About The Position
Regeneron is seeking multiple 2027 interns for its Antibody Discovery & Protein Sciences teams. These teams discover, engineer, characterize, and develop antibodies, protein therapeutics, and biologic platforms supporting the earliest stages of drug discovery. Projects may cover antibody engineering, protein expression, cell line development, bioassays, protein characterization, conjugation technologies, and therapeutic protein research. Interns work with scientists on hands-on laboratory projects, data analysis, and presentation of results; some may design independent projects with guidance. Positions are full-time and onsite in Tarrytown, New York, from May or June through August. The hourly pay range is $17.90–$50.90, determined by education level and degree program.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in or accepted to an academic program pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, and returning to school the semester after the position or graduating after the position.
- Relevant fields of study include Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.
Nice To Haves
- Basic laboratory skills such as pipetting, preparing solutions and dilutions, and aseptic technique.
- Experience with cell culture, ELISA, or flow cytometry.
- Demonstrated leadership through campus activities, clubs, sports, work, or community involvement.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Some projects may be better suited to graduate students.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to early-stage discovery and characterization of antibody and protein therapies.
- Develop and run assays to screen and evaluate antibodies.
- Measure protein binding to targets using methods such as SPR and BLI.
- Express and purify proteins.
- Build and improve cell lines.
- Conjugate drugs or labels to antibodies.
- Help make discovery platforms faster and more automated.
- Analyze data and present results to the team.
- For some projects, design an independent project with guidance.
