2027 Summer Intern, Accounting (Reston, VA)
About The Position
ICF is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Accounting Intern for a 10-week summer internship beginning in early June and ending in early August 2027. The intern will gain a broad overview of finance and accounting functions by observing and assisting colleagues with day-to-day assignments and projects. The role supports the timely completion of standing quarterly deliverables for key and operational SOX controls ahead of scheduled SEC filing dates, and includes identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency through automation or best practices. Other projects and initiatives may be assigned. Work may be performed in a hybrid capacity from Reston, Virginia. Relocation and housing assistance are not available.
Requirements
- By the internship start date, have at least 30 credit hours in accounting, finance, economics, information systems, or business administration.
- Be analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized, and be comfortable adapting in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in team settings, understand responsibilities, and communicate progress.
- Have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
