About The Position

Concord Community Schools is seeking a Summer Grounds Tech to maintain and improve the outdoor spaces of the school, ensuring they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for the community. This role involves performing corrective and scheduled maintenance in various craft disciplines as well as outside grounds work, potentially utilizing diverse maintenance skills and knowledge depending on the specific assignment. The purpose of this position is to maintain and improve the outdoor spaces of the school, ensuring they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for the community.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D.
Ability to plan and organize.
Practical problem solving skills and decision making.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Understanding of Google platform.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of and experience with maintenance and operation of buildings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Grounds work: mowing, trimming, laying mulch, pruning trees, leaf clean up.
Use of various hand tools, rakes, shovels, pruners, etc.
Moving of tables, chairs, furniture, etc.
Ability to use a computer, email, and file sharing.
Ability to operate various machinery and power tools.
Troubleshooting power equipment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Communication with team members.
Identify and repair small irrigation issues.
Rust removal.
Assist with painting as needed.
Keeping the grounds free of trash and debris.
Other duties as assigned.
