About The Position

This is a temporary summer position for a Grounds Worker. The role involves performing grounds keeping functions on campus, assisting with painting, furniture assembly and moving, and inventory stocking and receiving. The position also requires providing quality customer service and performing other duties as assigned. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Facilities.

Requirements

• Valid MT driver’s license at time of hire
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Ability to safely work with related equipment
• Ability and willingness to serve as a representative for the College by interacting appropriately with the public, students, potential students and College community
• Ability to work within policies and procedures of FVCC
• Ability to maintain effective and positive professional relationships with staff, students, and public
• Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical screen.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to respond effectively in the event of an emergency
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds continuously to move objects.

Responsibilities

• Performs grounds keeping functions on the campus including mowing, trimming, and maintaining landscaping.
• Assists with painting of campus buildings and infrastructure
• Assists with furniture assembly and moving
• Assists with the stocking and receiving in inventory
• Provides quality customer service and positive interactions with staff, faculty, students and public
• Performs other duties as assigned
