About The Position

Temporary summer employees may work in a variety of positions around the district. This role involves routine cleaning and minor maintenance, major non-routine cleaning as part of summer cleaning teams, landscape maintenance, general maintenance tasks, painting, assisting with inventory, and assisting with loading/unloading trucks and deliveries.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to read and follow verbal and written directions of supervising staff
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
Ability to safely lift and carry equipment or books weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to comply with all district policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Routine cleaning and minor maintenance of assigned areas
Major, non-routine cleaning as part of summer cleaning teams
Landscape maintenance including weeding, mowing, edging, top-dressing, etc.
General maintenance tasks, painting, etc.
Assist with inventory of books, equipment, and supplies
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and delivery of materials and books to and from buildings
