Summer Grounds Maintenance Laborer
About The Position
Gunstock Mountain Resort is looking for some hardy and helpful folks to join our Grounds Maintenance Team this summer. This position is responsible for the general repair, renovation, and maintenance of all resort grounds, including the Gunstock Campground, all roadways, exterior walkways, and parking areas. Works directly with the Camping Team to ensure all Gunstock campsites and guest areas remain in a clean, orderly, and welcoming condition. This position performs a wide variety of general grounds maintenance and repair work; may also assist with traffic control and guest parking during operating hours and special events. Must be able to work Saturdays.
Requirements
- Experience using mowing equipment, hand tools, and small power tools
- Valid driver's license required
- Able to remain in a stationary position 40% of the time
- Able to operate hand tools, power tools, vehicles, machinery and equipment used for general lawn and grounds maintenance
- Frequently required to move about the resort to access campsites, lawn areas, roadways and bridges, exterior walkways, parking lots, culverts, ditches and underground utility markers
- Occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders on various projects
- Required to move grounds maintenance equipment and materials weighing up to 25lbs regularly, up to 50lbs frequently, and up to 100lbs occasionally
- Constantly required to inspect, detect, and assess work areas, equipment, tools, machinery, and vehicles by climbing in, on, around, or under them
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Must be able to work outdoors during changing weather conditions

- Ensure all Gunstock campsites and guest areas remain in a clean, orderly, and welcoming condition.
- Perform a wide variety of general grounds maintenance and repair work.
- Assist with traffic control and guest parking during operating hours and special events.
