Summer Freestyle Facility Attendant
About The Position
The Summer Freestyle Centre Facility Attendant is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the Summer Freestyle Centre facilities, including the Airbag, Dry Slope, Twin Trampolines, and Super Trampoline. In addition, this role involves ensuring the facilities are opened and closed properly, monitoring weather conditions, assisting with summer camp activities, and coordinating facility bookings. This is a temporary seasonal position beginning early June and ending mid-October. As Summer Freestyle Facility Attendant, you strive to align your work with WinSport’s six core values: Safety, Integrity, Belonging, Collaboration, Inspiration, Sustainability.
Requirements
- Experience in facility management, building operations or other relevant is required.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to conduct regular inspections and audits is required.
- Experience with hand tools is required.
Nice To Haves
- Freestyle Alberta Fundamentals or CASI Park 1 and/or Canada Snowboard Comp Intro considered an asset.
- Freestyle Canada Air 1 – 4 considered an asset.
- CPR/AED certification is an asset.
- Previous experience working with teams of various sizes and demographics is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, & Word is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily opening, closing, and ongoing safety checks for all relevant facilities.
- Open and close the Summer Freestyle Centre, Airbag, Trampolines, Dry Slope and Archery Range facilities.
- Execute check-in for external clubs, verify waivers and attendance lists.
- Monitor weather conditions and communicate with relevant parties when closures are required.
- Assist with summer camp set-up and take-down.
- Help with administration and coordination of facility bookings, when necessary.
- Inspect and prepare the airbag and related equipment.
- Monitor facility usage and check in with coaches throughout their booking.
- Substitute as an instructor for internal bookings when required.
- Oversee daily operations and ensure the high quality of program execution.
- Assist with daily team member meetings which detail key goals, objectives, and safe practices.
- Inspect and communicate needs for washroom trailer.
- Perform site maintenance tasks like grass cutting and garbage cleanup.
