About The Position

Seyfarth is seeking 2L law students to join its 2028 Summer Program as Summer Associates in the Labor & Employment department in its Boston office. The program combines practical learning with a specialized curriculum tailored to the assigned department. Summer Associates work closely with partners and receive individualized feedback and coaching from partner and associate mentors. They are assigned to a specific department for the summer while also having opportunities to engage with attorneys across the office and firm. The role involves working with attorneys on real client matters, including active cases and projects, and gaining practical experience through client meetings and shadowing attorneys on deals and cases. The position is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Requirements

• Complete one year of law school by spring 2027 and expect to receive a JD in May 2029.
• Demonstrate academic achievement.
• Appreciate collaboration and teamwork.
• Show a clear interest in Labor & Employment through coursework, certificate programs, or prior work experience.
• Submit a resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcript, law school transcript when available, and writing sample.

Responsibilities

• Work on actual client cases and projects.
• Attend client meetings.
• Shadow attorneys on a variety of deals and cases.
• Participate in a specialized training curriculum and substantive legal seminars.
• Attend practical learning activities such as depositions, court appearances, and closings.
