About The Position

KKR's 2027 Summer Analyst Program is an opportunity for undergraduate students to join a leading global investment firm. This role is for Summer Analysts within KKR's Insurance business in their New York office, specifically on the Liability Risk (Modeling) team. Summer Analysts will gain practical experience in liability modeling, risk assessment, and collaborate across KKR’s insurance platform. Exceptional performers may be offered full-time positions for 2028 upon completion of the internship.

Requirements

  • Anticipated graduation date from an undergraduate program between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Area of study in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and the eagerness to learn.
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity and quality of work.
  • Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance.
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of projects and communicate to different stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a dynamic, exciting, and fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAS, Python, VBA, or other programming languages.
  • Understanding of Insurance products and Actuarial Science knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and gain exposure to liability modeling in R3S (formerly IBM’s Algo Financial Modeler) for building liability models for new products or new institutional deals.
  • Help identify risks embedded in different liabilities by stressing insurance/liability assumptions/market conditions.
  • Assist in enhancing the risk modeling production infrastructure and help automate/improve production reporting.
  • Conduct static and dynamic validations.
  • Collaborate with different functional teams such as Valuation, Product Development, and Institutional business.
