Risk Analyst | 2027 Summer Internship Program
About The Position
Verisk's 2027 Summer Internship Program is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027. It is designed to provide interns with meaningful real-world experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. The program requires interns to be located near their assigned office, as the hybrid work schedule mandates working in the office at least 3 days per week. Requirements
- Seeking those who are collaborative, well rounded, passionate, and good work ethic.
- Strong communication skills, responsible, and highly motivated to take initiative.
- Ability to learn, problem-solve and work independently on projects.
- Have a growth mindset to complete all responsibilities and be eager to learn.
- Enrolled in bachelors or masters program.
- Must be graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Must possess an analytical mindset, passion for business, and a desire to innovate.
- Must be available to begin the internship program on June 2, 2027 and participate in the full 10-week program
- A history of tackling projects with a quantitative lens, and a desire for data-driven insights.
- Microsoft excel as a foundation.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employer sponsorship.
- Verisk does not sponsor employment visas or provide immigration sponsorship for internship positions.
Nice To Haves
- Risk Management & Insurance majors, a plus.
- An interest or past experience in insurance is helpful, though not required.
Responsibilities
- Participate in risk analyses using Verisk's cutting-edge technology for insurers, brokers, reinsurers and other financial intermediaries in the internationally expanding business of extreme event risk management
- Conduct immersive research, analyze data, and consulting projects to benefit our clients
- Build professional relationships with coworkers and clients while offering support across business units
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently on projects
- Have a growth mindset to complete all responsibilities and be eager to learn.
- Proficiency with Touchstone and Touchstone Re
- Analyzing data within Microsoft SQL
