About The Position

Our Investment Banking business provides expert advice and execution services for corporations, financial institutions, and financial sponsors on strategic M&A opportunities and capital markets transactions. We pride ourselves on a client-first, solutions-oriented, and product-agnostic approach that leads to high-quality transaction outcomes and enduring relationships. The Investment Banking Summer Analyst program provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and in-depth knowledge of our daily operations as we develop and implement innovative strategies and solutions for our clients. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, where you will develop extensive industry experience, build lasting relationships, and create top-tier client-facing presentation materials and financial models. Summer analysts will gain exposure to key healthcare sectors, including biotechnology, medical technology, and healthcare technology. The program includes an immersive orientation and a comprehensive technical training program designed to build a strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting, and valuation skills. Interns will assist designated department management and staff with assigned tasks under supervision, embodying the TD Securities Culture and Customer Service Philosophy. They will interact with various internal and external groups, gain an understanding of the businesses and customers supported, and may handle incoming calls. The intern will provide support to managers and other areas, assist in completing departmental projects/reports, and help prepare specific schedules for reports or projects. They will also analyze specific accounts, assist in preparing federal and state returns, support audit requests, and assist with operational and administrative functions, potentially partnering with multiple business functions. The role involves building and maintaining complex financial models, performing various financial analyses, applying valuation tools, conducting in-depth company and industry research, drafting external marketing materials and client pitch presentations, and supporting the execution of financing and M&A transactions. Analysts will work in a fast-paced, challenging, yet collaborative and motivating environment, developing both soft skills (communication, professionalism) and technical skills (financial modeling, valuation analysis), along with strong attention to detail, proactivity, urgency, pride, work ethic, and enthusiasm.
