About The Position

Santander US Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is seeking talented individuals for its 2027 Investment Banking Summer Associate Program. This program is designed for MBA students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2028. Participants will work in San Francisco alongside experienced professionals, developing essential technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills for a career in investment banking. The program offers comprehensive training and hands-on experience within Santander CIB's global investment banking platform, fostering a customer-centric approach and encouraging bold thinking and innovation. The role involves providing strategic advice to corporate clients, assisting with capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and executing transactions while managing risks in a complex environment. The program aims to develop thoughtful, strategic advisors with a strong understanding of client service and relationship building.

Requirements

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2028.
• 3+ years of prior work experience.
• Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a desire to exceed expectations.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and courage in leadership.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently on special projects.
• Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.
