About The Position

The 2027 Summer Analyst Program in Information Technology at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) offers rising seniors and first-year graduate students valuable work experience in a fast-paced banking environment. This 10-week program provides hands-on experience with meaningful projects and team assignments, enabling participants to build skills and technical expertise. Summer Analysts will have networking opportunities with colleagues and senior leaders across the firm, fostering a broad understanding of the bank and its Technology functions. The program includes engaging summer activities for professional development and business exposure, along with guided mentorship. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. Information Technology for the Americas (ITA) plays a crucial role in MUFG's mission, with nearly 1,700 colleagues specializing in areas like process engineering, software development, enterprise information security, technology operations, operational risk management, and project management. The ITA team is responsible for IT, Data and AI strategy, infrastructure, architecture, corporate systems and applications, and cybersecurity, aiming to improve client experience, empower colleagues, and drive organizational efficiency.

Requirements

Rising senior or first-year graduate student, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology Management, AI/Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, Project Management, Cybersecurity Governance, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems. Other analytic disciplines may be considered.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Ability to work equally well on self-managed or team projects in a quickly evolving environment.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Work eligibility cannot be based on F-1 or other limited student visa status.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to process design/improvement, and/or change management disciplines.
Experience driving/supporting change initiatives (preferred for operations roles).
Some hands-on experience or foundational knowledge of one or more of the following: C/C#, Java, Python, R, SQL, APIs and integration concepts, JIRA, Agile/DevOps practices, business and systems analysis, process design/improvement, change management, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake), data governance and data quality concepts, machine learning fundamentals, SIEM, SOAR, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio or other workflow diagramming tools, databases, data structures, algorithms, cloud computing, networking, storage, mobile computing, operating systems (Windows and Linux).
An interest in capital markets or cash management is preferred.
