About The Position

This 10-week summer program provides rising seniors and first-year graduate students with hands-on experience and on-the-job learning within a high-paced banking environment. Summer Analysts work on meaningful projects and team assignments which enable them to build skills and technical expertise. MUFG’s Summer Analysts come from a wide variety of schools and backgrounds and are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders firm-wide. In our open and inclusive environment, Summer Analysts have the opportunity to meet and get to know our senior management as they broaden their understanding of the bank and Technology functions. In addition to meaningful team project work, Summer Analysts participate in various summer program activities that offer professional development and business exposure. Our program also offers guided mentorship throughout the summer through an assigned program mentor.

Requirements

  • Rising senior or first-year graduate student, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology Management, AI/Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, Project Management, Cybersecurity Governance, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other analytic disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to work equally well on self-managed or team projects in a quickly evolving environment.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • F-1 or other limited student visa status is not sufficient for work eligibility for internships.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to process design/improvement, and/or change management disciplines and experience driving/supporting change initiatives (preferred for operations roles).
  • Some hands-on experience or foundational knowledge of one or more of the following: C/C#, Java, Python, R, SQL, APIs and integration concepts, JIRA, Agile/DevOps practices, business and systems analysis, process design/improvement, change management, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake), data governance and data quality concepts, machine learning fundamentals, SIEM, SOAR, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio or other workflow diagramming tools, databases, data structures, algorithms, cloud computing, networking, storage, mobile computing, operating systems (Windows and Linux).
  • An interest in capital markets or cash management is preferred.
