SUNY Sullivan's Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) seeks a skilled and student-centered professional to serve as a Math Instructor for the 2026 EOP Summer Academy. This position involves teaching EOM 0999: Math Lab, a non-credit-bearing developmental mathematics course designed to strengthen students' quantitative reasoning, algebraic foundations, statistical literacy, technology skills, and college readiness prior to their first semester. Students will engage with key mathematical concepts including arithmetic, basic algebra, business mathematics, probability, frequency distributions, graphing, and measures of central tendency. The instructor will utilize technology-based learning platforms such as ALEKS, Lumen, and/or MyOpenMath, while incorporating Excel and Google Sheets to help students develop the skills necessary for success in college-level mathematics courses. Students will complete pre- and post-assessments through ALEKS that may support placement into gateway mathematics coursework without a developmental component. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to student success, educational access, and fostering a culture of belonging.
