About The Position

Freese and Nichols is excited to open a great GIS internship within our Infrastructure Management team in Fort Worth, Texas . As a GIS intern, you will learn more about geographic information systems and how it supports planning, engineering, and infrastructure projects across the organization. What will the role look like? Assist in creating and updating maps, figures, dashboards, and spatial datasets under supervision Support the configuration and testing of GIS services and web applications Help conduct basic spatial analysis, geoprocessing tasks, and data quality checks Assist with maintaining GIS databases, metadata, and project documentation Collaborate with project team members to support project deliverables and deadlines What will the summer look like? This internship will require you to be in office each day to help build connections with your group, fellow interns, and others. Relocation or housing stipends will NOT be provided for internships. Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related degree
  • Graduation date of August 2026 or later

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python, ModelBuilder, and Esri products
  • Student organizational involvement
