About The Position

This summer internship at The Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN, offers a unique opportunity to work outdoors and play a behind-the-scenes role in creating memorable experiences for youth teams and families. The intern will assist with day-to-day operations to deliver an unforgettable tournament experience. This is a paid internship, and arrangements can be made with colleges/universities for college credit. The internship runs from mid-May 2026 to late August 2026.

Requirements

Recent graduate, or currently working towards a bachelor's degree.
Prior work experience or an interest in a career in Facilities or Grounds Maintenance or willingness to learn.
Outgoing, high-energy personality with strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented problem-solver with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Team player with a strong work ethic, ready to work long hours and weekends as needed based on business needs.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Ability to receive college credit towards graduation.

Responsibilities

Assisting with field setup, facility cleanliness, trash removal, and hydration station prep.
Safely operating equipment for grounds and field maintenance such as tractors, golf carts, UTVs, and more.
Helping to maintain all aspects of the facility’s infrastructure, including artificial turf fields.
Conducting safety and cleanliness checks for both fans and players.
Helping spot and report maintenance issues around the complex, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, turf, and landscaping.
Bringing a positive, customer-centered approach to every interaction.
Representing the Ripken brand with pride and professionalism.
Supporting other departments, including operations, food & beverage, and retail, when needed.
Being a part of delivering a once-in-a-lifetime experience for youth athletes and their families.
