About The Position

Substitute teachers receive short-term assignments to cover teacher absences from the classroom and are responsible for following lesson plans to maintain and further student learning. Successful applicants will receive assignments through the Frontline substitute scheduling system. We are currently at capacity for our substitute teacher eligibility pool. This number is always changing, so we will continue screening applications and interviewing candidates as the need arises. We will reach out to you when space in the eligibility pool becomes available. Your application will be screened in the order received. Thank you for your patience. Requirements

  • A 30-day Substitute Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A Certificate of Clearance on the CTC before being authorized to work.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (IHE) as demonstration of the Basic Skills Requirement.
  • Complete application for this position (including two references, including one from a Supervisor).
  • Negative TB test current within past 60 days.
  • Sealed copies of all college transcripts.
  • Valid Driver's License, ID card, Permanent Residency Card or current US passport.
  • Social Security Card (no copies).
  • Pass criminal background check.
