About The Position

This position is part of the Substitute Administrator Eligibility Pool for the 2026-27 school year. The core functions of this role are to enable all children to achieve at high levels, ensure every child receives an excellent, free, public education, and to lead teachers, staff, and community members in creating a collaborative learning community. The role involves improving student achievement by nurturing excellent teaching and learning, building a safe and supportive student culture, supervising students and staff, using data to inform instructional decisions, distributing leadership, managing and evaluating staff, engaging parents, developing and empowering teams, building trust to facilitate change, strategic planning, effective scheduling and management, managing personal and staff time and priorities, and building and maintaining a network of support outside the school.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university with graduate courses
  • Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Valid Clear Administrative Services Credential for California authorizing service as a principal
  • Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints, health (TB) and/or other employment clearance
  • Knowledge of California content frameworks and standards
  • Knowledge of numerous, proven, successful instructional practices
  • Knowledge of leadership skills, management strategies and community building techniques
  • Knowledge of local policies, state and federal laws relating to minors
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
