Substitute teachers are needed for the 2026-2027 School Year. To qualify, individuals must hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in education or meet Local Substitute qualifications through the NDE. Applicants without an education degree but with a minimum of 60 college credit hours must apply for the Certified Teacher, Local Substitute Certificate through NDE at www.education.ne.gov/tcert. The application process requires email addresses for at least three references, an uploaded copy of transcripts, and an uploaded copy of the teaching certificate. Hired applicants must provide official transcripts and a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate to Human Resources before starting. Additionally, applicants must schedule an HR interview and attend an Orientation before being placed in the substitute pool.
