About The Position

Stoneham High School is seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and student-centered individuals to serve as per diem substitute teachers throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Substitute teachers help maintain a positive and productive learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent. The position involves working with high school students and supporting their learning. Responsibilities

• Provide classroom supervision and instruction when the regular classroom teacher is absent.
• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by classroom teachers.
• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.
• Support student engagement and encourage appropriate classroom behavior.
• Follow school policies, procedures, and established classroom expectations.
• Communicate relevant information regarding student participation, behavior, and completed assignments to the classroom teacher or administration.
• Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to support the daily operations of the school.
• Model and reinforce Stoneham High School's core values of Curiosity, Integrity, Responsibility, and Community.
