About The Position

St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Bethesda, Maryland, is hiring a dedicated substitute teacher to cover for absent teachers. The substitute delivers assigned lessons, manages the classroom, and maintains a faith-filled, values-driven learning environment in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Requirements

Understand appropriate teaching methods for students at the corresponding grade level.
Be willing and able to work with students of the specified age group from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities to help them achieve educational objectives.
Organize tasks and manage time effectively to meet diverse deadlines.
Handle both small and large groups of students in a classroom setting.
Communicate effectively with students, including on sensitive topics.
Be familiar with assistive technologies, internet and email systems, and word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
Know how to use technology in instruction to enhance student learning.
Be proficient in using various office and video equipment.
