SUBSTITUTE SUPERVISION ASSISTANT (Up tp 8 hours) 2026-2027 SY
About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Principal or Campus Security Supervisor, the Substitute Supervision Assistant patrols a school campus and immediately adjacent areas to discourage improper behavior and maintain supervision and security. The role monitors visitor activities and parking and traffic control, assists school administrators with general supervision of student conduct, and may help maintain assigned facilities or areas in a clean, orderly, and secure manner. Other duties directly related to this class description may be assigned. This is a substitute position working 3.5–8 hours per day for the 2026–2027 school year. Employment is contingent on pre-employment clearances, including Board Approval, Department of Justice/FBI clearance, a negative tuberculosis test, Child Abuse/Mandated Reporting Training (AB 1432), Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (SB 1343), and legal documentation verifying identity and any required license or certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some successful work or volunteer experience, or training, with school-age children.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate; applicants must attach the certification or they will be screened out.
- If selected, obtain Board Approval and Department of Justice/FBI clearance, provide a negative tuberculosis test, complete Child Abuse/Mandated Reporting Training (AB 1432) and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (SB 1343), and provide legal documentation verifying identity and any license or certification required for the job.
