About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Campus Security Supervisor, the Substitute Campus Security employee patrols a school campus and immediately adjacent areas to discourage improper behavior and maintain supervision and security. The role monitors visitor activities and parking, helps control traffic, and assists school administrators with general supervision of student conduct. The employee may also help maintain assigned facilities or areas in a clean, orderly, and secure manner and perform other duties directly related to the class description. This is an on-call, as-needed substitute position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some successful work or volunteer experience or training with school-age children.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate.
Responsibilities
- Patrol the school campus and immediately adjacent areas to discourage improper behavior and maintain supervision and security.
- Monitor visitor activities.
- Monitor parking and control traffic.
- Assist school administrators with general supervision of student conduct.
- As needed, help maintain assigned facilities or areas in a clean, orderly, and secure manner.
- Perform other duties directly related to the class description.
