Substitute Special Education Teacher - MLL
About The Position
The Substitute Special Education Teacher – MLL provides specialized instruction and support for approximately 16 middle school students who are multilingual learners in special education settings. The position is located in Burrillville, Rhode Island, and is a full-time contract role. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–2:15 PM. The start date is ASAP, and the end date is TBD. The teacher develops and implements IEPs aligned with student needs and district standards, collaborates with general education teachers, support staff, and families, monitors student progress, and adjusts instructional strategies. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation and complying with Rhode Island regulations. Compensation is a competitive hourly rate based on experience, with bi-weekly agency payroll and ongoing support from agency staff.
Requirements
- Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification with MLL endorsement/certification.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
