Substitute Special Education Teacher - MLL
About The Position
The Substitute Special Education Teacher – MLL provides specialized instruction and support for multilingual learners in special education settings. The teacher develops and implements IEPs aligned with student needs and district standards, collaborates with general education teachers, support staff, and families, monitors student progress, adjusts instructional strategies, and maintains accurate documentation in compliance with Rhode Island regulations. The position serves approximately 16 middle school students in Burrillville, Rhode Island. It is a full-time contract role scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–2:15 PM, with an ASAP start date and an end date to be determined. Compensation is $22.69–$26.43 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification with MLL endorsement/certification is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
