About The Position

This position is responsible for providing temporary, administrative support to the Principal and the school office on an as-needed basis to assure smooth and efficient operation of the office during the absence of the regular building secretary. Provides support for the following duties: Answers main telephone lines, provides basic information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate staff. Greets visitors, students, and staff entering the office, addresses immediate needs, and directs them to appropriate locations. Operates basic office equipment such as multi-line phones, copiers, and fax machines as needed. Receives incoming mail, packages, and routine deliveries, leaving them for regular staff processing. Takes initial attendance inquiries or late-arrival sign-ins from arriving students. Tends to sick or injured students sent to the main office and logs basic illness or injury visits according to school protocol. Assists teachers or administration with basic copying or printing requests as time allows. Distributes daily announcements or routine notices as directed by the principal. Performs essential, immediate tasks or other basic administrative support duties as assigned by the building principal.

Requirements
