About The Position
The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) is seeking a motivated individual to fill a substitute (PRN) RN or LPN position. This role will primarily serve Salt Lake City, with potential days in Springville and Ogden. The position operates during the school year, with an option for summer work. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with additional hours for after-school activities and substitute nursing across all USDB campuses.
Requirements
- Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Utah.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively.
- Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
- Maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide special and general nursing services for students enrolled at USDB.
- Provide treatment, care, and evaluation of students' medical needs.
- Assist with medical emergencies, perform first aid as needed, and submit incident reports.
- Complete documentation on time.
- Ride in a van with students to and from school.
