About The Position
Campus School of Smith College is seeking a Substitute Nurse for their Elementary School (K-6). The primary function of this role is to follow the Campus School health office policy and protocols in the absence of the school nurse. This includes responding to and recording student illnesses, medical needs, and injuries; administering restricted medication; communicating with parents regarding student health; and conducting lice checks and follow-up as needed.
Requirements
- RN licensure
- Two years of nursing experience that includes working with elementary age children.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and record student illness, medical needs and injuries as they occur during the school day.
- Administer restricted medication to students.
- Communicate with parents regarding illnesses, or injury to students.
- Conduct lice checks and follow-up as needed per campus school protocol.
