About The Position

The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a substitute (PRN) RN or LPN position. This role will primarily be based in Salt Lake City, with occasional needs in Springville and Ogden. The PRN position operates during the school year and offers the possibility of summer work. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with potential for after-school activities and substitute nursing duties across all USDB campuses.

Requirements

• Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Utah.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively.
• Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
• Maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Must successfully pass a criminal history check.
• Must pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide special and general nursing services for students enrolled at USDB.
• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation of students' medical needs.
• Assist with medical emergencies, perform first aid as needed, and submit incident reports.
• Complete documentation on time.
• Ride in a van with students to and from school.
