About The Position
Acelero Learning is hiring an on-call Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education programs and help create positive outcomes for children and families. The role works collaboratively with classroom teachers to support the successful operation of a classroom and contribute to children’s social and emotional development. The position is based at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Woodland Center, with a stated start timing of Fall 2026. Compensation is $15.96 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and written skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or already have completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development and use positive guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
- Encourage the involvement of families in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
