About The Position
Acelero Learning is hiring an on-call Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education and help children, families, and communities thrive. The role works collaboratively with classroom teachers to help ensure the successful operation of a classroom and support children’s development in a Head Start program. The position is based at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Woodland Center and is expected to begin in Fall 2026. Compensation is $15.96 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and written skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or already completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development and use positive guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
- Encourage family involvement in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
