About The Position
Acelero Learning is hiring an on-call Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education and help create positive outcomes for children and families. The role works collaboratively with teachers to support the successful operation of an assigned classroom and contribute to children’s social, emotional, and educational development. The position is listed for Acelero Learning Wisconsin at the Walton Center, with a start period of Winter 2026, at $15.86 per hour.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and written skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or have already completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute certification.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development and use positive guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
- Encourage family involvement in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
