About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking an energetic, creative Substitute Preschool Teacher to help provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The substitute supports the school’s educational philosophy and works with educators to deliver a curriculum that encourages children’s development. The role includes documenting children’s daily milestones for parents, collaborating with teachers and leaders, observing children’s interests and extending their play, encouraging positive social skills, and helping plan varied daily activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
Must be flexible and available to step in during business hours.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.

Responsibilities

Support Cadence Education’s philosophy and work with educators to deliver an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and leaders to create engaging learning experiences.
Observe children’s interests, maintain their safety, and extend their play through language, toys, and activities.
Encourage children’s social skills and positive behaviors.
Help plan a varied daily schedule, including quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor experiences.
