Substitute Meal Transporter (Local Government) (Part-Time) - Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging
About The Position
The Substitute Meal Transporter for the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging supports older adults by delivering meals in a personal vehicle and providing daily contact that promotes well-being. The role involves safe transportation, careful recordkeeping, and awareness of client needs. This is a part-time position with approximate hours of 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The schedule may vary depending on weather, route, traffic, and driving conditions. Telework is not available. New Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employees will start at $13.25 per hour plus mileage at the current IRS rate.
Requirements
- At least six months of experience that required operating a motor vehicle as a regular duty, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- No driver’s license suspension within the last three years.
- Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities
- Deliver meals using a personal vehicle and efficient routes, ensuring client contact.
- Maintain weekly service rosters and reconcile meal counts.
- Report changes in clients’ conditions or service needs to the office.
- Check meal quality and quantity and document feedback.
- Carry medium-weight containers and move safely across varied environments.
