About The Position

This position is for a Substitute Food Service Worker for the 2026-2027 school year. Substitute employees will be notified of available substitute assignments on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent staff. Hours and the frequency of assignments will vary depending on district staffing needs, employee absences, and the substitute's availability. Hired applicants must be able to pass both the DCI criminal history background check and the prework physical requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates aptitude for successful performance of tasks.
• Able to physically work in a standing position for prolonged periods and walk much of the time during the day; work in warm surroundings.
• Have manual dexterity to handle knives and other kitchen equipment.
• Able to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow policies and practices.
• Must be able to pass a DCI criminal history background check.
• Must be able to pass prework physical requirements.
