About The Position

Patch Caregiving provides backup childcare to workers through their employers, with care spaces located within parents' workplaces. The On Call Substitute Childcare Teacher will manage a play-based, multi-age care room for children ages 2–12. The role includes caring for children, leading activities and curriculum, communicating with parents, and keeping the space safe, clean, and engaging. This is a part-time, variable-schedule position with a consistent need for coverage one day per week, approximately 10 a.m.–4 p.m., plus other weekday day-shift coverage as needed at the Middletown, Pennsylvania site. Schedules are typically finalized on the Friday before the upcoming week, with start times confirmed through a scheduling tool or message from the Regional Care Director. Shift times vary according to employer schedules, and the position requires flexibility and availability on short notice. It is a long-term, ongoing role, not a seasonal position.
