About The Position

Bergamo Montessori at Serrano is seeking a Substitute Childcare Teacher to maintain continuity in its educational programs when regular teachers are absent. The role involves supporting young children’s learning, development, safety, and well-being in a positive and harmonious classroom environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, patient, nurturing, and genuinely interested in working with young children. Bergamo Montessori is part of Endeavor Schools, an education management company with more than 100 schools in 14 states and a range of educational styles and methods. The organization describes its workplace as supportive and offers education incentives and career development programs. Starting pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with toddler and preschool students.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
12 Child Development Units, required by the State of California.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.
