About The Position
Substitute Bus Drivers provide safe and efficient transportation for students to enable them to take full advantage of the district’s curriculum and extracurricular programs. This role involves being on call and accepting driving assignments as they become available. Substitute drivers may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time Bus Driver position with the District.
Requirements
- High School diploma preferred.
- Required driving certifications by the State of Michigan.
- Ability to maneuver large buses efficiently and safely.
- Ability to relate to students, staff, and community members.
Nice To Haves
- Previous bus driving experience preferred.
- PAID training provided by BC Transportation Department.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient transportation for students.
- Be on call for driving assignments.
- Accept driving assignments as they become available.
