About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Weaverville, NC. Since 2005, Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder, providing accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Our comprehensive approach is the gold standard in care for opioid use disorder, proven to prevent overdose deaths and foster long-term recovery. Requirements

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification board - applicants who are not registered will not be considered for employment (LCAS, LCAS-A, LPC, CADC, or LCSW).

Nice To Haves

• Lived addiction experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• LCAS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
