About The Position

Mindrift is recruiting people in the Los Angeles area for an in-person data collection study about performing everyday household tasks. Participants attend an on-site session in San Marino or Mid-City Los Angeles, follow step-by-step guidance from the team, and complete tasks such as cooking or simple DIY and home-improvement projects. Participants wear recording devices, including a head-mounted camera, while working. A full session lasts 8 hours; participants may also be paid for half a session and can take part in more than one session. To apply, register on Mindrift and complete a short screening questionnaire. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to schedule a session.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and live within commuting distance of Los Angeles.
• Be available for a full on-site session; sessions may take place in the morning, evening, or on weekends.
• Be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours with breaks, lift up to 25 lbs, and bend, kneel, and reach overhead.
• Be comfortable using both hands for cooking and DIY tasks.
• Be comfortable communicating and following instructions in English.
