About The Position

We are seeking a Studio Production Lead to join our Nashville Studio team. This role plays is responsible for recording long-form eLearning content, communicating recording statuses to cross-functional teams, maintaining and updating SANS’ production equipment and recording studios. This role requires technical proficiency with video production hardware and software, collaborative tools, technical documentation, and attention to detail to ensure recorded assets meet SANS’ quality standards and are delivered on time.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a video production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of video production equipment and production workflows.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly to trouble shoot equipment and recording issues.
  • Demonstrated skill with audio and video editing software platforms.
  • Ability to work with set processes within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate and carry camera and lighting equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and climb ladders.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic work environment and able to pivot to new priorities on short notice
  • Ability to work some 10-hour days and occasional weekends during studio recordings.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to use collaborative cloud-based tools for communication and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently when management is offsite.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Experience in creating educational and long-form video content.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity terms and concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production direction and data support on SANS video shoots in the Nashville studio.
  • Monitor video productions and report statuses to virtual teams.
  • Escalate any issues with the recording that impact production in a timely manner.
  • Assure all recorded video content is completed on time for optimal delivery of content to post-production teams.
  • Maintain the inventory tracking and management of studio equipment.
  • Maintain and make recommendations about updates to video production gear.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and quickly coordinate solutions in the production environment.
  • Maintains the SANS studio spaces to assure they are prepped and ready for productions.
  • Utilize cloud-based departmental support systems and processes, (Smartsheet, Slack, Confluence, Dropbox, Black Magic, 1Password, Egnyte, etc.)
  • Assist the Video Production Manager with technical and process documentation.
  • Serves as primary contact and leads studio productions in the manager’s absence.
  • Updates production sheets to document work in progress and complete administrative tasks related to asset capture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
