About The Position

The Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission is seeking to hire one (1) highly motivated student to fill a student worker position within the agency. The intern will develop professional oral and written communication skills and gain experience in all facets of office work. Through the up to 6-month position, student workers will gain knowledge of the inter-related divisions of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission with a view toward qualifying for a specific position in the Agency upon the completion of academic studies.

Requirements

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to enrollment in high school or college.

Responsibilities

Performs basic clerical functions, including limited keyboarding, filing, receptionist, mailroom, document processing and other clerical support tasks.
Performs property and supply support functions including delivery of supplies and materials, moving furniture, stocking shelves, packaging and inventory.
Participates in staff meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
