About The Position
Arrowleaf is hiring 4 Student Workers for The Scoop Station, our new hand-dipped ice cream shop located inside the Forman Depot Visitor Center & Train Museum in Vienna, Illinois. The Scoop Station is a social enterprise operated by Arrowleaf that combines employment opportunities with tourism and community development. Student Workers will gain real-world experience in customer service, food service, teamwork, and day-to-day business operations.
Requirements
- Students must be 16 or 17 years old
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Must complete Food Handler Certification and CPR/First-Aid Certification during orientation
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service
- Take orders, operate the point-of-sale system, and serve ice cream and other menu items
- Assist with food preparation and follow food-safety requirements
- Keep customer, service, and food-preparation areas clean and organized
- Wash dishes and utensils and maintain sanitation standards
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory
- Perform routine cleaning and janitorial duties
- Assist visitors and help create a welcoming experience at The Scoop Station and Forman Depot
