About The Position

The Maintenance - Student Employee will have the responsibility of assisting with the daily operations of the Facilities Department. As a Campus Security Authority (CSA), you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Valid Driver License.
• Must be enrolled as a student at Mid Michigan College.
• Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written format, with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.
• Ability to operate small machinery and equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives.
• Adheres to the organization’s policies & procedures, and compliance guidelines.
• Use of hand tools such as: shovels, rakes, brooms, hand trimmers, etc.
• Operation of equipment such as: push mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower, snow blower, etc.
• Maintain College grounds by: mowing, trimming, raking, cleaning, weeding, snow shoveling, hauling/moving equipment
• Maintain/Clean maintenance equipment: vehicles, tractors, riding mowers, golf carts, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• As a CSA, you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations.
