Student Worker - Advancement Events Program Assistant - Mission Waco
About The Position
This is a student worker position at Mission Waco, focusing on assisting with marketing and events. Responsibilities include capturing photos and creating highlight videos at programs and special events, ensuring logistics are completed, and aiding in the planning and execution of fundraising events. The role also involves creating social media content related to special events, sponsorships, and annual campaign strategies. A DSLR camera and knowledge of Adobe Premier are required. This is an off-campus employment opportunity, and reliable transportation is important. The position supports five major fundraisers: Annual Celebration Banquet, Golf Tournament, Race ONE 5K, Fashion with a Passion Style Show, and Champions of Service Luncheon. Learning outcomes include building relationships with sponsors and vendors, gaining basic event planning skills, learning to multitask across various programs, improving technical photography and videography skills, and expanding understanding of the Waco community.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera
- Proficiency in editing with Adobe Premier
- Ability to create content on design platforms
- Flexible attitude
