About The Position

Assists and supports the Chief Village Officer in the administrative tasks of managing a permanent supportive housing community for men and women exiting homelessness. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important. The role involves fielding in-bound phone calls, handling minor neighbor concerns, and executing administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and recording data.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
  • Proficiency in technical and computer skills (Word, Excel, phone, and email).
  • Reliable form of transportation and license.
  • Time management and prioritization ability.
  • Intentionality, personable, adaptable, motivated and eager to learn.
  • Mature and communicable Christian Faith and spiritual life.
  • Willingness to work alongside formerly homeless men and women.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Mission Waco and Creekside Community Village.
  • Experience working toward administrative proficiency.
  • Creative problem solving and flexible thinking/planning skills.
  • Facility management skills.
  • Experiential knowledge of the importance and impact of community service and poverty alleviation.
